Job Description
1. To perform a variety of relatively complex engineering functions as related to the installation, service, and maintenance of the company products to meet the customer’s requirements and environment.
Job Responsibilities
1. Review service contract requirement and service scope related document such as service technical agreement.
2. Travel frequently to provide the effective service at customer’s site.
3. Prepare and submit field service report and time sheet for customer’s approval.
4. Response to customer’s phone calls timely to address any technical queries or issues.
5. Take advantage to use service lab to simulate customer’s problems in helping to find a solution for the customer.
6. Log customer’s phone calls in database and track for the call closing.
7. Support project team in various areas such as Ovation system installation, start-up and commissioning activities.
8. Support IBS sales team for any technical queries.
9. Communicate with product development department in O’Hara to report any software/hardware defects and help to analyze the problem if required.
10. Review product notifications and communicate with the customer to provide timely information.
Basic Qualifications
1. Possess 2-3 years’ experience in process control industry, especially in Power Generation, Water/Waste Water treatment, Iron & Steel.
2. Knowledge in Cybersecurity or computer technology would be an advantage.
3. Knowledge in PLC control will be an advantage.
4. Knowledge in Steam/Gas Turbine Control would be an advantage.
5. Occupational Health and safety acumen
Preferred Qualifications
1. Possess a Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Electrical or Auto Control Engineering.
2. High degree of initiative and good communication skills.
3. Capable and willing to work independently and handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
4. Willing to travel, even at short notice for emergency services.
5. Fluent in English.
