Key Responsibilities:

• Review, improve, balance and streamline operational activities to maximize profits, control costs, provide excellent customer service and meet or exceed company quality goals.

• Educate and nurture direct reports, develop individual improvement plans through the PMP process and identify training and skill sets for development and improvement of direct reports.

• Ensure bookings are implemented in a timely manner according with working procedures, settle daily operation issue in accordance with the policies and procedures of company.

• Ensure all freight, demurrage and other invoices are raised correctly and in a timely manner. Assist in verifying vendors’ invoices as/when required. Oversee the timely update of systems and all necessary documentation.

• Set up good relationship with both customers and vendors. Monitor and manage vendor’s service, make sure all vendors/agents' service meet company’s requirement.

• Contribute to the success of the business through regular interaction with safety and sales staff at the inception of new business, carriage of new products and loading or delivery to or from new locations, with the goal to begin new business with excellent safety and develop a high quality execution plan for each new transportation combination.

• Accompany on customer visits, if required.

Requirements:

- College / University degree preferred or suitable industry experience.

- General background knowledge of forwarding and shipping industry.

- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills.

- Strong international experience and awareness of cultures.

- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

- Must be ethical, organized and able to prioritize and set goals.

- Common sense and problem solving skills required.

- Fluent English and Mandarin required
