Key Responsibilities

· Provide technical support to cross-function, inc. product management, purchasing, quality and sales etc.

· Support purchasing in reviewing potential suppliers

· Approve designs developed through suppliers

· Implement drawing control and documentation

· Document and approve any supplier deviations

· Review validation testing as part of the design approval.

· Support the quality team on technical issues.

· Approve PPAP samples and documentation.

· Store approval documents

· Support Quality and Warranty groups with failure analysis

· Support suppliers with technical issues.

Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)

· Bachelor's Degree in engineering, prefer Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

· More than 5 years’ experience in product development of Engine Sensors

· Experience in design of automotive or diesel engine components is preferred.

· Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, practices and processes.

· Strong written and oral communications skills to include presentation skills.

· Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information with all levels of employees and groups.

· Self motivated and can work independently.

· Possess basic project management skills.

· Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, GT&T, FMEA and failure analysis.

· Analytical trouble shooting and problem solving (root cause analysis, effective problem solving, etc.).

· Ability to closely examine and visually inspect parts and data.

· Excellent computer skills to include knowledge of MS Office, Filemaker Pro, NX CAD software

· Writes business correspondence, technical specifications, test reports, etc.
