The job of a Quality Assurance and Logistics Specialist combines key responsibilities from both quality control and logistics management.
Job reflects a consistent blend of ensuring product quality while managing logistics operations, making the role both comprehensive and coherent.
Person is required to have an engineering degree, for example, from educational programs in industrial engineering,automation engineering, materials engineering, or similar fields. Capability of reading and understanding hydraulic cylinder’s function and drawing requirements.
Experience of shipment controlling, tracking and co-operation with forwarder is preferred.
Regular visiting at supplier factories is required.
1. Quality Assurance Duties:
· Inspection and Testing: Consistently performing quality inspections on products throughout the production process, ensuring they meet established standards.
· Process Improvement: Continuously improving quality control processes, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality output.
· Compliance: Veryfying and controlling that both products and production processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO)
· Acting as the technical liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Production)
· Working with New Product Development teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers.
2. Logistics Responsibilities:
Shipment Tracking: Monitoring and following up on the shipment of goods, ensuring timely delivery and the integrity of the products during transit·
Coordination with Suppliers and Norrhydro: Managing communication between Norrhdyro purchasing team, suppliers, forwarders to align on delivery schedules and resolve any issues related to shipping or product quality.
Documentation and Reporting: Ensuring proper documentation for both quality inspections and shipment tracking, creating reports (open order list status by supplier) that integrate quality metrics with logistics performance including product measuring itself.
